  Hi, I'm Janet, senior fashion designer from Baby Trend, and today I'll be showing you how to unbox and assemble the Hybrid 3-in-1 booster car seat.

  First, open the box and carefully remove the car seat and all packaging materials. Once everything is removed, place the seat base and back support on a flat surface. Undo the chest clip and release the buckle.

  Now, we'll start with connecting the back support to the seat base. Lay the back support flat behind the seat base and align the tabs on the bottom of the back support with the openings in the seat base. Press down firmly on the backrest while rotating the seat base upward. Place the car seat upright and gently pull on the back support to make sure it is fully inserted and secure.

  Now, we need to assemble the fabric cover. If your car seat has these side hooks, then slip the side hook through the corresponding hole. Repeat this step on the other side.

  Next, slide both sleeves with the side impact pads over the sides of the back support. And now your Hybrid 3-in-1 is assembled and ready for installation.

  Adjust the headrest to the highest position. Slide the seat fabric onto the car seat on both sides. Bring the headrest back down to the lowest position.

• Transcript: How To Adjust Crotch Buckle

  Hi, I'm Ryan, the product manager and CPST from Baby Trend, and today I'll be showing you how to adjust the crotch buckle in the Hybrid SI 3-in-1.

  First, locate the metal retainer on the bottom of the car seat. Push the metal retainer through the car seat in order to release the buckle.

  Now, locate the 2 positions for the buckle on the seat of the car seat. Position 1 should only be used until your child reaches 35 lbs or the buckle is touching your child's thigh.

  Once your child has outgrown position 1, you should adjust the buckle to position 2. Now, you can rethread the metal retainer through the correct position for your child. Ensure that the metal retainer goes through all layers and exits through the bottom of the car seat. Position the metal retainer correctly from the bottom of the car seat and pull up on the buckle to make sure it's secured. And now you're ready to go!

• Transcript: How to Install Forward Facing Using LATCH

  Hi, I'm Ryan, the product manager and CPST from Baby Trend, and today I'll be showing you how to install the Hybrid 3-in-1 in forward facing using LATCH.

  First, make sure the harness height on the car seat is at or above your child's shoulders. Unclip the top tether from the storage position on the car seat and place over the headrest. Unclip the LATCH connectors from their storage positions on the car seat.

  Refer to your vehicle's manual to locate the proper LATCH position and LATCH anchors. This is where you'll be installing your car seat.

  Now, place the car seat in the determined position in your vehicle. You can loosen the LATCH webbing in order to facilitate the installation.

  Now, clip the LATCH connectors onto your vehicle's LATCH anchors. Confirm they are firmly attached by pulling outward on the connectors. Proper installation using LATCH requires that the LATCH webbing be very tight, so now you'll use either your knee or hand to press down hard on the car seat while pulling towards the car seat on the webbing ends. You should pull on the webbing ends following the same angle as the installed webbing. One thing I like to do is to thread the loose webbing through this path to make sure I get a proper angle for tightening.

  Now, you'll attach the top tether onto your vehicle's tether anchor and pull it to confirm it's firmly attached. Pull on the free end of the top tether webbing in the direction of the installed webbing until all slack is removed.

  To make sure that the seat is tight, grasp the belt path and move it side to side and front to back. If it moves less than an inch where the LATCH webbing meets the car seat, then you have a good installation. And now you're ready to go!

• Transcript: How to Install Through Rear Entry Using Vehicle Lap Shoulder Belt

  Hi, I'm Ryan, the product manager and CPST from Baby Trend, and today I'll be showing you how to install the Hybrid in forward facing using your vehicle's lap and shoulder belt.

  First, make sure the harness height on the car seat is at or above your child's shoulders. Unclip the top tether from the storage position on the car seat and place over the headrest.

  Now, place the car seat in the determined position in your vehicle. Pull out as much of the seat belt webbing as possible, ensuring you have plenty of webbing to work with. Thread the seat belt webbing through the rear entry belt path making sure it lies flat and has no twists. Insert the seat belt buckle tongue into the receiving end and pull up on the buckle to ensure it is secured. Press down on the car seat while simultaneously pulling on the seat belt in order to remove all slack.

  Now, you'll attach the top tether onto your vehicle's tether anchor and pull it to confirm it's firmly attached. Pull on the free end of the top tether webbing in the direction of the installed webbing until all slack is removed.

  To make sure that the seat is tight, grasp the belt path and move it side to side and front to back. If it moves less than an inch where the seat belt webbing meets the car seat, then you have a good installation. And now you're ready to go!

• Transcript: How to Install Through Serpentine Routing

  Hi, I'm Ryan, the product manager and CPST from Baby Trend, and I'm going to show you how to install the Hybrid 3-in-1 using your vehicle's seat belt in serpentine belt routing.

  First, remove the top tether and place it over the headrest. Now, place the car seat in the designated vehicle position. Make sure the car seat is positioned correctly before routing the vehicle seat belt. Pull the vehicle seat belt out, making sure you have plenty of webbing to work with.

  Split the vehicle seat belt webbing around the armrest. Route the vehicle seat belt through the front-entry belt path, across the back of the back support, and back out through the opening on the opposite side. Split the vehicle seat belt webbing around the opposite armrest. If the car seat has these belt guides, then you'll guide the vehicle's seat belt webbing behind them.

  Make sure the vehicle seat belt is lying flat and is not twisted. Buckle the vehicle's seat belt into the receiving end. Press down on the car seat while pulling the vehicle seat belt tight to remove any slack.

  Attach the top tether to the vehicle's tether anchor. Pull the top tether webbing in the direction of the installed webbing to remove any slack.

  Once everything is tightened, check the car seat for movement at the belt path. The car seat should not move more than one inch from side to side or front to back. If the car seat moves more than one inch, tighten the vehicle seat belt and top tether again.
