Frequently Asked Questions

What age is Smart Steps Bounce N' Dance for?

Age and weight requirements vary by product model. Always check your specific product's manual for exact age ranges, weight limits, and developmental readiness indicators. Most Baby Trend products have age guidelines printed on the product label.

How long can baby sit in an activity center?

Limit activity center use to 15-20 minutes at a time, 1-2 sessions per day maximum. Excessive use can delay motor skill development. Babies need floor time for crawling and natural movement development.

Should babies' feet be flat in the activity center?

Babies' feet should touch the floor flat or be slightly tiptoed. If legs are bent or dangling without floor contact, the center is too tall and should be adjusted. Improper height can affect hip and leg development.

Are baby activity centers safe?

Activity centers are generally safe when used according to manufacturer guidelines. Ensure proper assembly, use on flat surfaces away from stairs and hazards, never leave unattended, and limit session duration. They're safer than walkers as they're stationary.

What age should you stop using activity center for baby?

Stop using an activity center when your baby reaches the weight limit (typically 25-26 lbs), begins walking, can climb out, or loses interest. Most babies outgrow them between 9-12 months as they become more mobile.
