Q: Where do I find my product information?

The Model Number and Manufacture Date are two necessary pieces of information you will need when speaking to our Customer Service Department. You can find this information on a white sticker on the underside of your product. The location of this sticker varies depending on which particular Baby Trend Product you own.

Q: How long is the manufactures warranty, and what does it cover?

Coverage

Products Covered under Manufacturer's Warranty: Parts and repairs for products purchased in the United States with defects, malfunctions or failure directly resulting from the quality of material used and/or workmanship of the finished product during the first 180 days after purchase, with proof of purchase, are covered under the manufacturers warranty at the discretion of the manufacturer. Baby Trend will cover shipping from and to consumer in the event of a repair if applicable.

Products Not Covered under Manufacturer's Warranty: Part and/or product damages or malfunctions not resulting from defects in material and/or workmanship, including misuse by consumer and/or products without Proof of Purchase are not covered under the Manufacturer's Warranty.

Instruction

Please follow the instructions below when returning your product for repairs. It's important to note that the instructions below must be followed in order for Baby Trend to process your return in a timely fashion.

  • Call 1-800-328-7363 to obtain a Return Authorization Number (Note: Returns will not be accepted without a Return Authorization Number and a Proof Of Purchase)
  • Please provide the following information: Model # / MFG Date, Name of the Store where the Item was Purchased/Online/Gift and if the product is in need of a part and/or repair
  • Return the item in its original packaging. And pack the item with care so that it will not be damaged during the shipping process.
  • Use a secure shipping method to send the item so that it can be tracked. For example, if you are sending it through the United States Postal Service, please send it via certified mail. We are not responsible for items lost during shipping, and cannot process your return until the item is received.
  • For online orders, include a copy of the packing slip. (Note: For online orders, returns will not be accepted without a packing slip and proof of purchase)
  • Proofs of Purchase (i.e. copy of store receipt, gift card receipt or evidence of date and place of purchase) Items with out Proof of Purchase are not covered under manufacturer's warranty.

Q: What do I do if my Baby Trend product needs repair?

Please call our Customer Service Hotline at 1-800-328-7363 to determine if the issue can be resolved by a replacement part. If a full repair needs to be made the Customer Service Representative will guide you through the Return Authorization process.

As we are the only facility in the United States that can make repairs, your item will have to be returned to Baby Trend, Inc. The Customer Service Representative will give you a Return Authorization Number that must be clearly visible on the outside of the box that you shipped your product. Boxes without a Return Authorization Number will be returned at your cost.

Q: How do I get replacement parts?

All Baby Trend Products have a Six Month Product Warranty. If you need a replacement part and you fall under the warranty guidelines please call our Customer Service Hotline at 1-800-328-7363 to put in a warranty claim.

Q: How do I return my product?

Contact customer service for a return authorization number. Products are returned for an evaluation or repair if necessary. Review the manufactures warranty for any additional questions.

Q: What steps should I take if my Baby Trend product is on a recall list?

Please refer to any new information regarding recalls on this website under the Help section . If your item's Model Number and Manufacture Date appear on the recall list, discontinue use immediately. DO NOT return item to store. Call our Customer Service Hotline at 1-800-328-7363. The Customer Service Representatives will guide you through the return/exchange process. Make sure to take note of the Return Authorization Number. Put this Return Authorization Number on the outside of the returning package. Boxes shipped here without Return Authorization Number will be return at your cost.

Bouncers - FAQ

Q: What are the washing recommendations for the seat covers on my bouncer?

SEAT PAD / HEAD REST:

Machine wash with cold water, gentle cycle. No bleach. Tumble dry, low heat.

TOY BAR AND TOYS:

Wipe clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. Air dry. Do not immerse in water.

FRAME:

Wipe the metal frame with soft, clean cloth and mild soap.

Q: Why is car seat harness so tight?

For safety reasons the harness should be tight, refer to your owners manual for more detials.

Q: Is the car seat FAA approved?

Yes, the car seat meets all federal regulations. Always check with the Airline on car seats policies.

Q: When does my car seat expire?

6 years from the date of manufacture.

Q: Where is the car seat instruction manual?

The instruction manual for the infant car seat is located on the bottom of the seat shell. Remove from base and turn upside down to find Instruction Manual.

Baby Trend has identified an inaccurate illustration that may have been included in an initial production of the car seat owner's manual. Please check page 42 of your owner's manual to see if your manual contains the inaccurate graphic. If the figure in 42-2 does not match the illustration below, please disregard this letter. If it does match, please follow the directions in the letter mailed to you to fix the illustration and use the adhesive label that came with the letter or download the the owner's manual online.

Q: My Ally 35 Infant Car Seat base recline handle was pushed inward, how do I re-assemble the base recline handle?

In the event that the recline handle was pushed inward past the retention detents, a reassembly of the recline handle and spring will be necessary.

Q: What are the washing recommendations for the seat cover on my high chair?

Please refer to the care label on the product first.

Washable seat pad: Machine Wash COLD DELICATE CYCLE with non chlorine based laundry detergent. Hang Dry. Do not use bleach.

Non-washable seat pad: To clean use only mild household soap or detergent and warm water on a sponge or clean cloth. Do not machine wash.

Joggers - FAQ

Q: What car seats fit on your strollers/joggers?

Baby Trend car seats fit any Baby Trend strollers/joggers that accommodate a car seat up to 30 lbs.

Q: How do I install the front wheel of my jogger?

If you have any problems of installing your jogger's front wheel, please refer to Jogger Front Wheel Attachment instruction.

Q: What is the recommended tire pressure for the jogging stroller?

The recommended tire pressure is 20 to 25 PSI for each tire. We recommend that you only use a hand pump designed for bicycle tires to inflate your wheels.

Q: The tires on my jogger keep going flat, what to do?

Remove the inside inner tube and check for possible leaks. Replace if necessary.

Q: Why do I need to lock the front wheel while jogging?

There are three major reasons why we insist that a baby be 6 months old before being placed in a jogger. Our research is done in cooperation with the AAP (American Academy of Pediatrics) studies. Most of their students get published in the journal they write, and we follow along their guidelines.

  • Shaken Baby Syndrome-AAP recommends that even mild shaking can cause this type of problem. So uneven or rough terrain may cause the baby's head to shake too much.
  • Baby's Neck Strength-Not fully developed until around 6 months old so jogging can cause the child's head to move/fall forward in an awkward position.
  • Harness Adjustment-The requirements under the ASTM Standards are limited on the height adjustments at 10, 12.5 and 15 inches. The 10 inch height is the 95% of backs of 6 month old children.

Q: I'm having trouble with the front wheel wobble while strolling, what should I do?

  1. Make sure the tire pressure is from 20 to 25 PSI, depending on the size of tire. Recommended to use a tire pump, not an air compressor.

  2. Underneath the front fender is a bolt that connects the front fork to the frame. Tightening that nut will lessen the extraneous movement of the fork assembly, please do not over tighten. For more details, please refer to Jogger Front Wheel Troubleshooting.

  3. Check for any loose or broken parts on the product.

Q: How old must my child be to use a Baby Trend Jogger?

We recommend that an infant be at least 6 months old before using the Jogger. Always check with your pediatrician for a recommended starting age / weight for your baby in an all terrain stroller.

Nursery Centers - FAQ

Q: I need help with my Baby Trend Playard. What should I do?

Baby Trend playards are designed with a double lock system to prevent your child from collapsing the playard. The top rail hinge is almost impossible to lock or unlock if the floor of the playard is in the down position. The floor must be raised to the height of the top rail in order to release the pressure of the fabric on the top rail locks so that they can be locked or unlocked. The top rails are very easy to operate if you have the center of the floor raised to the height of the top rails before attempting to lock or unlock the top rails. Please review our instruction manual if you are having further difficulty.

Q: Trouble setting up my Playard?

Important! Please make sure to follow the below steps:

  • Keep the center of Playard erect
  • Lock one rail at a time using both hands
  • Once all rails are locked, push the center down
  • Continue with instructions in your manual
