Description

The Baby Trend® EZ-Lift™ PLUS Infant Car Seat provides parents with an easier way to LIFT and GRIP their infant car seat. Weighing at less than 8 lb, the EZ-Lift™ PLUS allows parents to carry their infant car seat in a way that lessons the strain on their backs. This lifting technique has even be recommended by chiropractors as an ergonomically friendly method for carrying. The EZ-Lift™ also includes a multi-position base with level indicator as well as No-Twist Harness Indicator that allows parents to quickly see when the straps of the car seat are twisted. Safety-wise, the carrying handle of the EZ-Lift™ PLUS acts as an anti-rebound bar when it is placed in forward position. Like all Baby Trend® car seats, the EZ-Lift™ PLUS Infant Car Seat meets and exceeds all federal safety standards.

Is Baby Trend car seat FAA approved?

Many Baby Trend infant car seats carry FAA approval for airplane use. Look for the FAA certification label on your particular model. Install rear-facing using only the airplane lap belt (base stays at home). Always confirm your model's approval status before flying.

Can baby stay in car seat through airport security?

No, TSA requires babies and children to be removed from car seats during screening. The car seat goes through the X-ray machine separately while you carry your child through the metal detector or scanner. Plan for this extra time during security.

Can 1 year old sit in a front facing car seat?

The AAP recommends keeping children rear-facing until at least age 2 or until they exceed the rear-facing height/weight limits of their car seat. Many modern convertible seats allow rear-facing to 40+ lbs. Rear-facing provides better protection for a developing spine.

Is rear-facing safer?

Yes, rear-facing is significantly safer for young children. It reduces the risk of severe injury in a crash by 70-80% compared to forward-facing. The rear-facing position supports the head, neck, and spine which are still developing in young children.

Should the car seat go behind the driver or passenger?

The safest position is the center of the back seat if it can accommodate a secure installation. If not, either side is acceptable. Some parents choose the passenger side for easier access, while others prefer behind the passenger for better visibility. Center back is ideal.
