FAQs

Smart Steps walkers are suitable for babies 6-12 months who can sit up unassisted and have good head and neck control. Maximum weight is typically 26-30 lbs. Start when your baby shows developmental readiness—strong sitting balance and interest in standing.

Locate the height adjustment mechanism on each side of the walker frame (usually buttons or levers near the legs). Press or squeeze both sides simultaneously, then raise or lower the seat to the desired height until it clicks securely into place. Test that it's locked before use.

Stop using a walker when your baby begins walking independently (usually 12-15 months), reaches the maximum weight limit (typically 26-30 lbs), can climb out, or shows disinterest. Transition to push toys to encourage independent walking development.

Remove the fabric seat (if detachable) and machine wash on gentle cycle with cold water and mild detergent. Air dry completely. Wipe the frame, toy attachments, and tray with a damp cloth and gentle soap solution. Avoid harsh chemicals that could damage plastic or fabric.

Use tweezers or scissors to remove hair and debris wrapped around wheel axles. Wipe wheels with a damp cloth and mild soap to remove stuck-on dirt. Use a soft brush for stubborn residue. Dry thoroughly and check that wheels spin freely before next use.
