  • Transcript: How to Attach an Infant Car Seat

Hi, I'm Charlye, the brand manager from Baby Trend, and I'm going to be showing you how to attach an infant car seat to the York Compact Side-By-Side Double Stroller.

The York Compact Side-By-Side Double Stroller is compatible with both the Baby Trend EZ-Lift PRO and the Baby Trend Secure-Lift Infant Car Seat. Both are sold separately. Facing the front bumper bar, you'll be installing the infant car seat on the left side of the stroller. This side was created wider for the flexibility of installing an infant car seat while still fitting through a standard 30" door frame.

To start, you're going to remove the snack tray from the wider side of the stroller. To do this you'll lift up and away from the bumper bar in a diagonal direction.

Now, you'll recline the seat back on the right side of the stroller. Open this cover and adjust the seat back to a fully reclined position then close the cover to secure it. And now we're ready to attach the infant car seat. Make sure the car seat is facing the parent's handlebar. Align the car seat module with the inner seat connectors on the stroller. Rest the car seat's lower rear against the bumper bar.

Press down firmly until you hear both sides click into place. Lift up on the car seat to make sure it's properly secured.

Now, locate the short clips attached to either side of the left seat on the stroller. You're going to slide each clip into either side of the car seat's seat belt slots. Pull the loose strap to tighten the short clips.

To remove the car seat, simply loosen the short clips and slide them out of the car seat's seat belt path. Now, squeeze the release handle on the car seat located at the top rear of the car seat and lift. And now you're ready to go!

  • Transcript: How to Fold

Hi, I'm Charlye, the brand manager from Baby Trend, and I'm going to be showing you how to fold the York Compact Side-By-Side Double Stroller.

To start, make sure the canopies are closed. The seat backs should be in the most reclined positions.

To do this, open the respective covers and adjust the seat backs to a fully reclined position then close the covers to secure them. Pull back the stroller so that the front wheels are facing away from the stroller. Having the seats reclined and the front wheels facing away will ensure that the stroller closes and opens smoothly. Locate the fold release handle on the parent's handle. Slide the thumb latch to the left and squeeze the pull trigger while lifting the handle, then push it forward and down. Push both sides of the stroller together to make sure the frame has locked.

If you feel resistance, confirm that the front wheels are facing away from the stroller. This will allow for a smooth and easy fold.

Now you can proceed with folding the stroller. You can use the bumper bar as a carrying handle or remove it for a more compact fold.

To do so, press on the tabs on either side of the inside of the bumper bar and pull away from the stroller. To unfold the stroller locate the fold release handle on the parent's handle. Slide the thumb latch to the left and squeeze the pull trigger while pushing forward on the handle. This will make the stroller frame disengage. Pull the parent's handlebar up and backwards with a firm tug to snap the frame open. Resistance while unlocking may be caused from the seats still being in the upright positions or the front wheels facing towards the stroller before closing.

To fix this, you can lean the parent's handlebar back and forth a few times while simultaneously pressing on the release button to disengage the frame. The frame must lock into the opened position before use. Press down on the parent's handlebar to confirm that the frame has locked into the opened position. And now you're ready to go!
